Dr. Bekele Fekadu is GHC’s inpatient liason and physician based at St Peter’s Hospital in Addis Ababa who has been working with GHC since its founding in Ethiopia in 2010. Prior to working with GHC he was the deputy medical director at St Peter’s Hospital from 2002-2009 and served as a senior physician there from 1996-2001. Prior to this, from 1991-1995, he worked as a physician at Hiwot Fana Referral Hospital in Eastern Ethiopia and in the Hararghe region from 1986-1988. From 1989-1990 he worked as a medical director and physician in Harshin Somali Refugee Center for UNHCR/RRC, in Eastern Ethiopia. Dr. Bekele received his MD degree in 1983 from Simferopol Medical University, Ukraine, and received a diploma in TB control and Epidemiology in 2005 from RIT University, Japan.
